Okay... So here it is, my first blog in this New Year. As you know, I said I had goals for 2013. They are:
1.) Have more fun with my kids and husband.
2.) Lose Weight... (at least 50 pounds).
3.) Go on some adventures!
4.) Get rid of the drama people in my life.. (already started this.)
5.) Blog at last twice a month.
6.) Make sure to just enjoy each and everyday. And, thank God for each moment!
There they are... All my goals for this new year. This blog will keep my family and friends posted on how they are going, and will have topics I choose to talk about.
Let's start with the weight loss. So, I started dieting like two weeks ago. Only down 5 pounds, gained 2 back I had lost.. :-( I really need to get more motivated. I decided today was my last pig out day, starting tomorrow back to dieting. I will be signing up on my fitness pal, like my sis, Jenn, recommended. Also, I will try to exercise at home a few days a week. Once tax time hits, I am going to buy a treadmill for the house, and join Curves again.. By this time next year, I want to be 50 pounds lighter. Healthier for myself and my family!
Now that all the holidays are gone, it is time to focus on Jenna's birthday. I can't believe my little Bean turns 5 this year. Where the time went, I don't know. Everyday she grows more and more to me. She is such a well rounded child. Very loving, caring, and happy. I love that she is kind to everyone she knows and meets. She is always willing to help, she learns more and more each day and continues to grow. She has been doing horseback riding for almost a year now and really loves it, so we will continue to support her with it. I can't wait til she is a little older and starts doing horse competitions. Very proud of my little girl. Plans for her birthday are already set. She gets to spend it with family again this year. Steven's Mom and my Mom and Dad. Also, her bff, Alexis, may be going. Doing Disney of course. My princess will be dressing like Merida. She is going to the princess boutique in Magic Kingdom, and we are eating at Beast's Castle there. She is excited, and of course, so am I. I love our Disney tradition every year for her birthday!
Speaking of Disney birthday traditions.... This July my Billy baby will turn the big 1!!!! Of course, we will start a Disney tradition for him. This year, eating at Chef Mickeys, because he loves Mickey the Mouse.. And, maybe some park time. Nothing big and spectacular. We may stay in a Disney hotel for two days and just have fun family time.. Can't believe he will be 1 in 6 months. The time is flying already with him. Each day he grows a little bigger, and cuter. I thank God everyday for my kids.
I am ready for next month to get here.. I can't wait for our mini-vaca with my family. Though I wish my sisters were coming. I haven't gotten to meet my nephew, Ethan yet, and he is almost 2. Makes me a little sad. And, I miss my little Evan, and of course, Manda and Jenn. Everyday, Jenna asks when Evan is coming over, and I feel sad everytime I have to say, not now.... And, she still thinks he will be there again for her birthday. The older she gets, the more she remembers. So, it is tough letting her down. I am hoping to take a trip to NJ this year, if possible. It has been a long time since I was there. Time to go back.
One rant I have to make.. I recently encoutered a person in this group I was in. She is one of those neurotic people who think everything they read about chemicals and products is true. She only feeds her kid organic milk, fruits and veggies. no meats, nothing fun... Her kid is almost 3 and never had a happy meal. She brought up that she will not allow her child to watch Disney Princess movies, because she doesn't want her growing up searching or waiting for prince charming, and thinking she has to look like a princess.. Okay, seriously, I think this is the DUMBEST thing I have heard in awhile. I don't believe that by letting my daughter watch Cinderella, that she is going to grow up searching for Prince Charming. I think how your kids act, is how you RAISE them! I mean, is this a new trend among women in bad marriages? Because, it seems to be those women who believe that crap. How about you let your daughter watch it, and raise her to not need a man! My daughter is almost 5, and she has been watching Disney Princess movies since age 2, and guess what! If you ask, she thinks boys are gross and doesn't want to ever get married. Yea sure, this will change in the future, but she isn't being brainwashed by Belle, or Snow White. I am a Mom who loves to spoil my little Princess! I love having her dress in a cute Princess dress at Disney, and have fun! Her favorite Disney Princess movie is Brave. And, for those who have seen it, they know the last thing Merida wants is a man... It is opposite. She wants freedom and the right to choose her own path. So, I am pretty sure my daughter isn't going to grow up wearing pink sparkle dresses at age 18, and singing about finding her perfect man. Just saying.. Lets get real people! It won't harm your daughter letting her watch Rapunzel.. End rant!
So, there it is, my first blog. Nothing too exciting, but it is about life right now. I will blog at least once more this month. Can't wait to start planning some fun things for my little family, start changing my life, beginning with losing weight, and just having fun! I will leave each blog with a quote.. Here is the first:
"The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing."-- Walt Disney.
Later Days, Ya'll!!!!

ReplyDeleteI will look into an eliptical. I want something I won't mind using everyday. Walking on a treadmill I like, so I know that helps. I am not doing a gym gym, I am doing Curves. They have the 30 minut circuit you do. When I used curves a few years ago I lost a ton, and toned. I want to do that again! YMCA is far, so can't join. :(
DeleteI just find it funny, mothers like that lately. Watching a disney princess is not hurting a girl. Just stupid to me.
